Professional Computer Drafting and Consulting Services

CADDwise Consulting....

....has been a dream of mine for quite some time.  I decided that it was time for me to actually persue the development of my own company, and so here I am.

I graduated from C.M.S.U. (now U.C.M.) with a B.S. in Drafting in 1986, with an emphasis in computer programming.  Back then we still used DOS as an operating system, CAD systems were monstrous and were in their infancy.  I was delighted to see the drafting industry merging with the computer industry, so I pushed to be trained on any available system at the first job I was employed at after graduating college.  Then I changed jobs, where I had the opportunity to learn AutoCAD®, version 10.  I was given some overall instructions, a manual, and a simple task, and I was off and running.  I was hooked!

Since those days, I have worked at various companies, and I never stopped learning.  Helping others with AutoCAD® issues soon became second nature to me, and to this day, that is what I truly enjoy the most.  One of the guys I use to work with years ago started calling me “Oh Wise One”, so when I was trying to come up with a screen name, I put “CADD” and “Wise” together and have been CADDwise ever since!  Naturally, when I started dreaming of having my own company, CADDwise was going to be part of the name.  Now you know where “CADDwise Consulting” emerged from!

Over the past 21 years, I have become very knowledgeable and skilled at using many of the Autodesk® products like AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Architecture (previously Architectural Desktop®), Revit®, Map 3D®, etc. as well as Microsoft® Office products, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.  I am also proficient at installing and networking printers and plotters.

Along the way I have found that supporting CAD software users entails knowing more than just the CAD programs, but includes knowing about operating systems, databases, printers, plotters, networking, and many other office productsIt also means making people feel comfortable enough to ask any question they may have, no matter how silly they may think it is.  I learned a long time ago that if you have a question but don't ask it, you are only hurting yourself.  The only dumb question is the one not asked!
